Gabriella is a total gem. In addition to being the Director of Social Media at a killer PR firm in Boston, she's also heavily involved with multiple organizations, runs an awesome blog, and of course, has successfully finished grad school in the process of it all. I love that she learned about BWH via one of her colleagues at The Lady Project (another female empowering organization,) further proving that she embodies all things BWH. After perusing her blog, I can also tell that she's one of those gals who is always on top of things and put-together. Teach us your ways, girl, will ya!?

The Basics:

Hometown: Danbury, CT
Current city: Boston, MA
Alma mater: Northeastern University
Degree: B.A. in Communication Studies, M.S. in Corporate & Organizational Communication
Hustle: Director of Social Media @ Regan Communications Group

The Interests:

Babe you admire and why?
Sierra Barter. She’s a force of nature, and the CEO and Co-Founder of The Lady Projecta non-profit women’s networking group that connects, inspires, and showcases amazing women doing awesome things.

Must-have item in your purse?
A book! While I typically bike to work, I occasionally have to take the train. Because our Boston transit system is notorious for simply not working, having a good book handy is key.

What’s one thing you wish you knew more about?
Our world! I realize that’s vague. What I mean is that I wish I knew more about the many, many cultures around the globe. I’d like to focus some energy each week into understanding more about different cultures. Perhaps that’s on my list for 2017!

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
Exploring Europe! I’ve never been and I’m itching to go like nobody’s business. First up: Ireland!

The Hustle:

Tell us about your hustle:
I currently handle the social media capabilities for Regan Communications Group. I’m not only creating content for my clients, I also manage the social team and support the other Regan PR teams in our Boston headquarters as well as our offices along the east coast. It’s a fantastic gig and I’m honored to play a part in establishing Regan as a social media go-to for clients large and small. On the side, I am one of the City Managers for the Boston chapter of The Lady Project. I also run a lifestyle blog called ByGabriella!

Tell us about The Lady Project!
Boston is the the third Lady Project chapter, and we now have 15 nationwide with more on the way! Along with my Co City Managers, I lead the BOS team in event planning, marketing, community outreach, et cetera. TLP connects, inspires, and showcases awesome women doing amazing things. I can truly say I’ve seen it all firsthand, and through it, I've met some truly incredible women from across the nation who have become some of my closest friends. One of the best lessons I’ve learned through this involvement is that everyone has a story to tell. You really can learn from everyone; it’s a remarkable thing!

Do you have any other community involvement?
That I do! I’m a volunteer advisor for the Sigma Kappa Sorority chapter at Northeastern University. I love working with students and this has been one of my favorite ways to stay involved with the community. I’ve advised a handful of women since graduating in 2013, and it’s so wonderful to see them progress through their college careers. I couldn’t be more proud of the Kappa Omega chapter!

Do you have any tips on managing your personal blog while balancing your other responsibilities?
I set goals for myself so that I have a way of staying accountable. One of my goals is to post 3 quality pieces per week. It can be quite difficult while working full-time, leading the BOS Lady Project and volunteering, but it’s what I love doing so it’s worth it! Sure, there have been some pretty late nights and early mornings (luckily I’m an early riser), but it’s a passion, so I make it work for me.

What motivates you?
The people I surround myself with each and every day. My BOS Lady Project team pushes me to be better, my blogger friends push me to do more with my content and photography, and my friends and family support me endlessly.

Career and/or life advice for other babes?
Work hard, be kind, and support others. What you put out into the universe comes right back to you, so put out as many good, powerful vibes as you can!
